What is PAP+?
The Whitener. Phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid or PAP+ for short is the active ingredient in many teeth whitening products. Most whitening gels, pens, liquids, powders and clear whitening strips contain this active ingredient which is applied to your teeth. It may even come with an LED light kit. The PAP+ works by increasing the whiteness of your teeth gradually over a period of time, typically 7 to 14 days depending on the product. There is also huge variation in the strength of the PAP+ included in the product. Many brands only include as little as 2% and that is why you would not achieve good results. As PAP+ is the most expensive ingredient, the cheaper the product is, the less likely it is to achieve the results you desire. A good high strength PAP+ product can whiten your teeth gradually. We only use high strength PAP+ and combine it with our Purpl V50 colour corrector gel to enhance its effectiveness and speed up the results. There is simply nothing comparable to our Purpl© ULTRA Teeth Whitening Strips.
